Before, there was darkness. The exiled deity Dysasthenia ruled over the world that would become Amadonia with an iron fist, delighting in the torture and destruction her mere presence caused. Yet, as with all things, her tyrannical reign would end with the arrival of a mighty warrior, Ambriel Angelus, whose blade pierced the darkness and brought the light of life and hope to the oppressed mortals for the first time in nine millennia.
The ensuing struggle shook the world to its very core, causing its crust and mantle to crack and shatter into countless shards of debris and shrapnel. Yet still the two deities fought, refusing to grant or offer any quarter to each other as their blows caused ripple effects that could be felt even among the distant stars of the Jasmine Stream galaxy.
Sustaining wound after wound in his attempt to expel the evil that was Dysasthenia from the void of space altogether, Ambriel was nearly undone when Dysasthenia's wicked, serrated scythe dealt a near-death blow to the warrior's body, spreading his divine blood throughout the debris of the destroyed planet he'd attempted to save. In a moment of desperate rage, Ambriel channeled his own divine essence into a final, desperate attack against Dysasthenia, bathing her in radiant, holy light and causing her to nearly go mad from the pain.
Yet even with all his effort, Ambriel was yet unable to destroy Dysasthenia even with all his might, and so fell back on the only option left to him: imprisonment. With one final, well-placed strike of his greatsword, Daybreak, Ambriel was able to bring Dysasthenia to her knees long enough for him to gather and form the various bits of debris in which they fought into a prison, infusing the core of this new prison with his own divine essence to prevent his enemy from regaining her strength
Thus weakened, Ambriel used a portion of his dwindling divine energies to reform the world their battle had destroyed, infusing the new planet with his own blood so that he might feel eternally connected to the new one. Thus was formed the world of Amadonia, a word meaning World of Hope in the ancient tongue of Ambriel's birthplace, the far off world of Ke'Ten.
Yet the forces of evil do not sit idle in defeat. Oceans will rise, Empires will fall, rivalries and friendships will be forged and broken as the agents of Dysasthenia seek to corrupt the creations of her hated enemy, yet despite the ever present contamination of Dysasthenia's evil, a single beacon of hope guides the mortal races away from the darkness and into the light.
